Knowledge OS — Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you click “Capture This Page,” the Knowledge OS extension reads the current page's title, URL, and visible text content. This content is sent to Knowledge OS's backend for AI-based classification and storage in your personal knowledge base.
Authentication
The extension reads your Knowledge OS session cookie (set when you sign in at myknowledgeos.com) to identify your account. It does not access cookies from any other site.
What we don't do
The extension does not track your browsing activity, collect data automatically in the background, or share your captured content with third parties. Data is only sent when you explicitly click “Capture This Page.”
Data storage
Captured content is stored in your Knowledge OS account and is only accessible to you when signed in.
Third-party services
Page content is processed using Anthropic's Claude API for classification and OpenAI's API for generating embeddings, solely to power search and categorization within your account.
